Hi, so for about a week or two now I have been having problems with crashing while playing games. What happens is both of my monitors will freeze and a diagonal pattern of white boxes will show up over the screens. Then either my PC will restart, or the game will close and I'll be back at my desktop. This happens about once every day or every other day. I have already tried using DDU to reinstall my video drivers, done a memory check, done a disk check, and scanned for corrupt files. Nothing I have done has fixed the issue. I have checked the event logger and seen LiveKernelevents 117, 141, and on one occasion 164. What is going on, is my GPU dying? I will also include my specs below. Help would be greatly appreciated.

PC specs

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X

ASUS ROG Strix X470-F Gaming

16gb(2x8gb) DDR4 3600 CL 16

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 TI Founders Edition

240gb SATA SSD

1TB hard drive

EVGA SuperNova 750W 80+ gold fully modular power supply

Edit: forgot to mention I checked temps for my GPU and CPU during a long gaming season. highest GPU ever got was 77 C and highest CPU got was a single spike to 81, but averaged around 70-75 C

If so that is the textbook definition of VRAM overheating or dying. What you can do is, download MSI afterburner and set your fan speed to maximum and see if it happens again. If it doesn't happen or happens later than usual, you may get away with servicing the card, else you might have start looking at your options.

Not exactly, the squares are much bigger, they don't look like static like in the picture  very similar to this picture

Yeh, that's almost certainly a VRAM issue.

As Levent suggested, download MSI Afterburner and try setting your fans at 100% to see if its a temperature issue.

If that doesn't work, try downclocking your VRAM speed. Knock 25% off to start with and try playing a game. With your VRAM running slower, you will most likely see a performance drop but if it solves the problem you'll know what the culprit is. Slowly increase the speed until the problem returns but from here your either going to have to live with a GPU that you're intentionally running slower that it should or needing to buy a new one.

Aight, I was planning on cleaning my PC out tomorrow anyway, so I'll do that and mess with fan speeds and see if that fixes it, thanks for the help

CPU temps more alarming than GPU, although the artifacts are GPU based, does not mean they originate plainly from GPU texturing.

Set fans for 100% at 60C for CPU in Bios, for GPU in Drivers or Afterburner, whatever Team Green uses.

I cleaned the PC out and increased my fan curve, yet the problem persists, do I need to RMA my card? Could it be something other than my GPU?
