Budget (including currency): £500

Country: United Kingdom

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant, basic MS apps.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This is the PC, I want to play Valorant at 144fps Low 1080p. Will I able to do it stock or do I have to have some upgrades? I do not mind tweaking the PC as I have had to tweak my Gaming Laptop loads. Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't even know UK cannot get Newegg products so thanks for telling me. I am not really comfortable building a PC but I think I will be able to manage installing a graphics card with watching a few Youtube vids. If you are willing to give me any reccomendations on a Dell Optiplex and a graphics card that will be suitable please tell me. Thanks for responding.

Also just as an alternative to think about, you can actually build a pretty decent PC for £500

Here is a build using the 5600g with its integrated graphics for about £400 which should be able to run valorant at 144fps on low-medium-ish settings and you can pick up a GPU down the line like a rx6600 or a 2060 super second hand if you want some more performance. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/cDwfgb

Or here is an alternative with a ryzen 5 4500 and a rx 6500xt (note that it will suffer from the cut down PCIe lanes at PCIe Gen 3) which should be capable of 144fps with settings on high in valorant https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/8x2MY9 and you could get even better performance picking up a better GPU second hand instead of the rx 6500xt

I think both of these would be a lot better than an i5-4750 and gt1030 even if you somehow spent an extra £250 and got a GPU to replace the gt1030 (you would run into a major CPU bottleneck)

System: AMD R7 5700g (OC to 4.45GHz fixed clock) / Noctua NH-D15 / Gigabyte B550 Gaming X V2 / Gigabyte Waterforce WB RTX 2080 Ti / Crucial 4x8GB DDR4 (OC to 3800MHz Cl16) / 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus / Corsair 4000D airflow / Corsair TX650M / BenQ Mobius EX2510 24.5" 1080p 144Hz

Thanks for spending the time to reply I really appreciate it. Unfortunately I am not really confident in building a PC neither do I want to. Tbh I just want a semi-convenient route  so I can play games. Do you think I should buy quite a Dell Optiplex with quite a good CPU and place a GPU inside it? I do not really know if the airflow will be good though and what temps I will face.

Id probably just go for an entire PC with a decent GPU already in it second hand. you should be able to find some older or lower end gaming PCs second hand for under £500

Newegg is American, we cant get it over here in the UK. 1) Are you comfortable building your own pc 2) if not are you comfortable installing a graphics card as you can get waaaaaay more performance for the same price as the newegg build or even less

You know there's a newegg.uk right?

https://www.newegg.com/global/uk-en/

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

This isn't an optiplex however is a very good deal for the price (especially over here)

Its missing alot of products, theres 11 gpus listed on the whole site 😂

A lot of it ships from US, so it would take patience, but saying they don't have a site is a bit disingenuous.

ight, import costs in the UK are really high so usually isn't worth it, ebuyer is kind of like UK newegg and has alot more variety than UK ebuyer

That would be good but id avoid ordering it from newegg US, its £80 shipping, plus you are going to have to pay import tax and customs duties and a handling fee... and then there is a decent chance of it getting damaged in transit all the way from the US

ight, I guess I will get a second hand PC. but I am a little worried about dodge sellers. Do you think I will scammed if I buy a second-hand PC of ebay? e.g. incorrect hardware listed

Not at all, once it arrives check to make sure everything is ok and if not, ebay will give you a full entire refund, my pc and two laptops are 2nd hand and ive had them for years. be sure to look at seller rating though 🙂

Buyer protection will ensure you get a full refund if you dont get what the seller described, so the only thing you have to avoid is listings where they havent described things at all. Also make sure the listing says its working, (avoid anything that says untested, they are usually parts that someone did test which didnt work)
