weird thermal paste

i found some thermal paste at my office and was going to use it for my pc. but its well thermal paste and its white. is that an issue? and doesn't come in a syringe but like a small tooth paste tube.

make sure its thermal paste NOT thermal adhesive. As long as its paste, its fine within reason.

Good old white silicone thermal transfer compound. It's a little runny compared to even the cheap gray stuff, but it works fine. You're more likely to see that stuff on electronics components that get hot, like linear voltage regulators, but there's no reason it won't work on a processor.
