ILM: Thermal Grizzly Intel 12th Gen CPU Contact Frame https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09YYQBXQY

Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 https://www.bequiet.com/en/cpucooler/1378
*** Old cooler: Corsair H60i AIO single fan 120mm radiator https://www.corsair.com/eu/en/Categories/Products/Liquid-Cooling/iCUE-RGB-PRO-XT-Coolers/p/CW-9060049-WW.

Here's the problem... the cpu cooler does not fit the mainboard, and I would have known this if I used their very handy motherboard compatibility checker before purchasing it. The board is too built up with component blocks too close to the CPU and the cooler simply can't fit in there. The only be quiet! cooler that will fit is the Dark Rock Slim, which has a TDP of 180 compared to the 250 of the Pro 4.

The Fractal Torrent has only 2 available spaces for radiators, a single fan on the rear wall, and up to 360mm in the front panel (which has 2x180mm fans stock) - I'm not going to bother with mentioning the up-to-360mm bottom panel.. oh I just did.

The current cooler, Corsair H60i on my i7 10700K, seems to be running quite hot lately where before it would seldom hit 70 degrees it is now regularly hitting 80. I doubt it would cool my i7 13700KF properly.

Question 1: is there a quality air cooler from another brand but similar to the Dark Rock Pro 4 in performance (250TDP) that will fit in this particular board?
Question 2: will the Dark Rock Slim be enough cooling for my 13700KF at 180TDP?
Question 3: if I go AIO cooling, is there any high enough performance single fan radiator to cool a 13700KF that will fit on the rear?
Question 4: As far as custom WC goes, are the only people on Earth who make 180mm fan radiators AlphaCool out of germany?

I have been in contact with AlphaCool who have recommended this part list for a custom cooling loop, which unfortunately comes in well over my intended budget since I already spent $200 getting this Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler here (they aren't available in South Africa): you'll need to use the languare switch icon at the top of the pages

The Torrent has tons of space. So a Noctua NH-D15 would clear fine if you want to stick to air cooling.

I don't think I would recommend trying to cool a 13700k on a single fan AIO...

As for the 180mm sized radiators, there's not much of a selection of those at the moment. It's just not a common fan size.

The space issue is not the case, the space issue is the motherboard. The block with all the components directly behind the CPU towards the back panel is pretty tall, and results in less than 6cm clearance between the CPU and that block. In fact all 3 sides except the RAM side are all built up pretty high - higher than the clearance the cooler requires.-

The case issue is only having a 360 front or 120 rear radiator, and I don't particularly want to sacrifice my 2x180mm fans from the front panel. It's a plan B solution to go AIO or custom WC if I can't find a fan that can a) meet the requirements and b) fit in the space available aroudn the CPU.

In these images yo ucan see how high they are built up, and how little room there is between CPU and component blocks.

NH-D15 Will fit on this build and is equal or better than some AIO Liquid coolers.

Custom loop really not neccesary.

I know, but the NH-D15 is a tall cooler. As already mention above by @greeatzy your board is listed as compatible with the NH-D15. I use one (NH-D15) on my 12900k, and my sons 9900k here at the house.

Thank you, I will look into the NH-D15. It's going to mean another 3 weeks wait, because they don't sell them here 😞
Where did you find this info in your screenshot?

I'm hesitant (once burned twice shy) but if the manufacturer says it fits the motherboard can I trust they have done the practical excercise and have it right? Looking at the measurements the cooler appears significantly wider (150mm) than the space available (120mm top to bottom or 100mm left to right with a height clearance requirement of 40mm). Is it high enough off the board to clear the component stacks on all 3 sides?

It looks to me like I'll only be able to use it in the single fan configuration, if that even.

Can somene confirm and tell me I'm just failing at basic engineering but the single fan config (centrally positioned) is 150mm wide but only 32mm high off the CPU where the max distance from side to side of components at a height of 40mm is only 120mm. Would this cooler actually fit?

The front fan can be adjusted up and down using the metal clips on the side colored RED on picture below.
