Potentially fried CPU

Go to solution Solved by RONOTHAN##,

Bad motherboards can kill CPU, but I've yet to see it happen the other way around. I wouldn't worry about it, either the chip will POST with it or it won't.

My office’s programming department had a gaming MoBo box sitting on a shelf, and I find it has a fried MoBo and a potentially good cpu, an intel i7 9700K. I am thinking of using it, but I have a ryzen at home. Before I go out and buy a new MoBo, I want to be sure that it will not fry the new one. Any help is useful. Thanks!
