ps5 soundcards

Was browsing today and didn't realise such a thing existed. 

 

Has anyone got similar to the below and if so is it any good. N digital audio out on ps5 which I found odd and wondered if such a device is money well spent or just a gimmick

i mean..  you're spending 20% of the cost of a PS5 on just a sound card... i'd be amazed if it didnt make a difference at all... but the trick with gaming is that you're sort of focussed on other things than 'dynamic range' or 'frequency response curve'.

 

also.. your PS5 is usually connected to a TV, and the sound is going to the TV trough HDMI.. you should be plugging this in the TV, not the playstation.

 

EDIT: scratch all that.. the PS5 doesnt even have a builtin DAC..

The soundbar can be connected via HDMI or the Bluetooth on the telly.
