I just bought a laptop (framework) with a 12th gen intel processor and when trying to run hyper-v virtual machines the VM (ubuntu server) crashes after a while.

I am thinking that it's because of the big little design. Any ideas on how could I fix this?

Hi.. i have never found localized hyperv on a PC stabile ever..  more due to the fact of windows 10-11 ..

what kind of hyper-v are you running? . just windows server with hyper-v service installed? or a workstation with hyper-v installed?

for PC testing and on small form factor i found vmware more stabile.. and on a workstation used vmware workstation for longer testing.. (weeks or months)

altho it's been a while i have been testing either.

If you have issues with vmware workstation as well, you may need to disable the E cores.

Does it crash when visualizing any other operating system, it could just be Ubuntu Server not being compatible with the big-little architecture.

I haven't but I need ubuntu server for a university project, soo, there's really no point in tring others. I think that it is a problem with Ubuntu server.
