Can I change the vbios of my MSI RTX 3060Ti ventus 3x OC to MSI Gaming X Trio vbios?

My ventus has one 8 pin connector and ive been told its only supports 150 watts (75 watts from pcie lane), but if i change the vbios to gaming x trio the limit it goes up to 250 watts (from 200).

So i want to know if this melts my psu cables 😂

It is above ATX power spec technically, though the 8 pin PCIe cable has a massive amount of safety buffer on it, and in reality with a good PSU it's more than capable of providing 300W to the card.

For reference, the R9 295x2 had 2 8 pin power connectors, its rated TDP was 500W, overspecing the connectors by 125W, and those cards don't really have a history of melting the 8 pin cables. If that card is OK, your 3060 Ti should do fine.

I just noticed you plan on running 2 different GPU's VBIOS. That just doesn't work, the flashing utilities won't flash it.

The power connector situation is perfectly fine, it's just that you won't be able to get the new, higher power limit VBIOS to work on that card.

And that's a completely different GPU. It has the same core, yes, but the BIOS from the Gaming X Trio will not work on the Ventus 3X. You can possibly try and force it to flash, but odds are the card will stop booting if you run the new BIOS.
