Windows Systemimage/Backup

I wanted to do a Windows backup on my pc before upgrading the hardware, unfortunately the backup can't finish somehow and throws an error (See Pic below, sorry for German windows).

What I tried:

  • Rerun backup -> same error
  • Checked for Windows Updates -> all fine
  • Ran a "sfc /scannow" and "Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth" -> both reported no errors
  • Found this guide but I am a bit hesitant to just delete any windows system folders: https://ugetfix.com/ask/how-to-fix-windows-backup-error-0x80070001/ -> from Fix 1, the folder "IE" has the Type "Folder"

Does anyone have an Idea how to fix this or what to look for?

The old Win7 backup is garbage, use a program like Macrium Reflect to make your backup.

I have a working backup in there, and TBH never tried a 3rd party tool in the last years. I'll try that thank you!

Still would like to fix it though
