Are the following parts making a good combo?

- i5 12600kf

- Scythe Fuma 2 Rev.B

- GIGABYTE Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4

Is the cooler enough for 12600kf? What about the motherboard?

Also I got the 12600kf for €100 cheaper than 13600kf.

From what I've saw the 13600kf is insanely hot and goes to 80 degrees even in games at stock. So I was afraid of spending €100 more to have to deal with those temps or to get some expensive cooler.

I'll be using it with a rtx 3070 at 1440p144hz just for AAA games.

Am I missing out for not going with 13600kf? I know that there is some difference but the majority of benchmarks were made with rtx 4090 at 1080p. With my rtx 3070 the difference will be non existent.

What do you guys think?

Seems like a good deal, here the 12600kf is only 40€ cheaper. The Scythe Fuma 2 Rev.B looks pretty good in reviews, it should be a good fit and seems to be a quiet cooler in comparison to similar ones. I wouldn't worry about it the 3070 is a great card and the CPU is very capable for gaming.

You're missing out on some performance, is it worth $100?  Totally depends on you.   Not for 1440p though IMO.

I don't see an issue with your build but I am sure someone will offer a differing opinion about what is soo much better 🙂

The 13600K is just better but more expensive, it has 4 more ecores, a bit more clock and IPS; for gaming the 12600K is still quite good

80C is not an issue, only reaching 100C is

But your combo will work nicely, the Fuma2 is a good cooler
