Bottleneck?

Go to solution Solved by Pixelfie,

If you're playing at 1080p, yes you're bottlenecked by the CPU. Valorant really isn't GPU intensive. I also have a 6600 which isn't fully utilized in Valorant, and my 10400F is more powerful than your 1600. But a bottleneck usually isn't a bad thing.

You're probably getting more fps than your refresh rate due to the GPU upgrade, which I think is what causes the tearing. Enabling V-Sync or limiting your fps to the refresh rate should fix this.

Hello! So i just bought the rx6600 for black friday as an upgrade from my gtxx 1060. Its paired with a ryzen 1600 and 16gb of ram. Installed the card and its drivers and fired up valorant. I can definitely see a good improvement in fps, however the screen tears and lags when i do sudden movements like turn 180 degrees, there is a split second of lag which i didnt have with the old card. Could this be a bottleneck issue?

im also experiencing weird stuff while alt tabbing. Random bits of valorant appears on my screen. As you can see in the screenshot im right now fully alt tabbed out of the game and that happens.
