I've looked for a while for a solution for this but can't see to find somebody who has had the same issue as this.

If I keep my PC plugged in and powered it will switch on and off normally. But as soon as I unplug it from the wall it will not power up again until I resit the power cable from tbr motherboard.

Any ideas?

Why do you unplug it ??

When unplugged for a long time CMOS battery is drained and PC then has a long reboot, you lose your BIOS settings etc..

We have been switching it the plugs at the wall off recently to help reduce the energy bill (I know it uses an extremely low amount of power but my partner insists and it's not worth the argument) but it's only left off for max a day. That should be long enough to cause any issues

I mentioned in another comment why I switch it off at the wall. But only for max a day at a time. I've tried leaving it switched back on at the wall without resisting the power on the MB but no luck. I'll look into the MB battery though

I know, it's a conversation I've had with my girlfriend but it's always met with 'every little hleps' and I get it. But either way it's highlighted this issue so need to sort it really
