Hello,

I am looking for a cloud-less solution for my vacuum robot cleaner. I found some open software called "Valetudo"   -  https://valetudo.cloud/   https://github.com/Hypfer/Valetudo .

Are you guys familiar with it and would you recommend it ? Are there any other solutions or recommendations to buy or "make" the cloud-less robot vacuum cleaner?

PS: I dont care about warranty. TRUST ME BRO 😄

Thank you for your thoughts.

What kind of Robot do you have? Usually they can be controlled without cloud services. If you want to disable it calling home, just block the device in your wireless router.

I dont have any, I am just going to buy it. Yeah I will surelly block it, but I dont want to get some for 300-400 bucks and then realize it need to send "lidar" images to China cloud server to process and there will be no way around it 🙂

Why not get a real cordless vacuum? $400 will easily pick you up one. Example. 🙂

Probably, same with home assistances and ring cameras. Get a regular vacuum instead. I have not looked room vacuums but some automatic mowers can be run with community tools, console only though.

Really, dyson, come on those are garbage. I'd rather run a generator with an extension cord before using that overpriced uk designer garbage. A regular vacuum will do just fine.

It actually isn't that bad when you get them on discounts, like on my case. I got couple...

yes, a regular one will work fine, however cordless does have its ups (and downsides of course).

Regullar vacuum cleaner will be in the closet and I think i will never open it from box :D. I need something with moping and vacuum and also with its own garbage can. Ideally that it is possible to set up for automatic cleaning. Maybe some simple automatization set up to clean only if i am not home etc.

Mopping is not really that important but preferred
