Hi buds, I have two WD black drives that have with me since 2016, 4TB and 6TB respectively. Both have passed 30K power on hours. Recently I checked their stats with CrystalDisk, and one of them shows caution message in health status. I'm planning to replace them, any recommendation on what to go for? I mostly store photos, video, lots of games, and some other work stuff, nothing too crazy.

I like the seagate barracuda's, i have used a lot of them over the last 5+ years of different sizes in different pc's. no complaints, some may have mixed opinions on them though.

edit: i would personally still use the 6tb at least, maybe just no important data, or at least have backups of the important data(always a good practice imo)

Thank you. What do you say between Barracuda/Firecuda? Also, it seems like their Ironwolf and Skyhawk lineups are for NAS/CCTV, but I suppose gaming with these won't be too bad?

i can't speak to the firecuda as i have only had one(2.5"), and i only used it for about a month in an xbox one before selling it(sshd does offer a little more speed though), so no idea how it fared long-term. as far as ironwolf/skyhawk, i wouldn't recommend nas/cctv hdd's. regardless of company for a normal desktop pc, best to stick to hdd's meant for normal desktop pc uses. there are differences between them such as tler and other firmware/hardware differences.
