Low Frames after update - please help

Toasted Waffles

Hi everyone, I was forced to update to the 2h22 build and I have been getting like 10-30 fps in any game with my hardware and I'm getting extremely upset. I have DDU the drivers and made sure I had the newest ones. When I do a driver reset the games run fine then when I restart it again it defaults back to like 10-30 fps and severe menu lag.

Hardware :

5950X & RTX 3090

Games

Age of Empires 4

Snowrunner

Warthunder

Ready or Not

Might be 2h22 teething issues.  It sounds like possibly a driver may be getting corrupted by something assuming “reset” means the partial reinstall windows does when you “reset this computer” rather than hitting the little button. If reset means “hit the little button” my suspicion goes more to a buffer filling up, so it would just empty when you hit the button.  This is also not impossible with the other “reset” though.

either way, rolling back 2h22 seems to be the quick solution if possible.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

These are also good points.  I assumed they had already been done.  Perhaps foolish of me.

So figured it out after a couple of hours and I feel really really really stupid. Somehow my power limit set in EVGa precision x was set to 2% power lol
