Desktop Window manager always high gpu usage

Sylvian

Hi, recently i've noticed that Desktop window manager keeps being on 50-100% gpu usage. I have tried everything I could find to fix this online, like reinstalling windows, nvidia drivers and changing certain settings in nvidia's control panel. No matter what I do it always stays higher than 50%. Is there a fix for this?

Knows issue for latest nvidia drivers.

Did you recently update the drivers?

If yes then just roll it back.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have the same issue using a RTX 3060. I'm using a 4k monitor and had to downscaled it in the windows setting 1440p to "fix" it.
