Budget: $900-$1,200USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly for gaming and probably streaming in the future. And uploading footage to youtube.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I already have the case, I don't have a keyboard. I'm not upgrading from anything this is my first pc build. Planning to buy all parts in the next 3-4 months. 1080p Max settings 120fps. I plan on using my TV as a monitor and the case I bought is Phantek P600S.

I would prefer to stay within 900 dollars if possible. If not its fine.

This is the parts list I made in PC builder.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/p9F8mr

Yes I am aware if I'm going to be recording footage or streaming I would need a better GPU and more storage for the footage. For now currently this is what I will be running. I will upgrade the needed parts over time.

Did you pick that specific CPU + expensive Motherboard because you care about future upgrades/features?

There is a room for something better, some good discounts may happen that can fit in your budget.

RX 580 is a good GPU, but if you want 120fps on Max settings that is not enough GPU power.

(also depends on games you're planning to play)

Also don't worry about GPU when streaming/recording, only know that you may get 80fps instead of 100fps while recording, and also the CPU needs to have some room while recording, if the CPU is used 80-100% by a high demand CPU game the recording/stream could look bad. (studder/low fps)

Feel free: To ask any question, no matter what question it is, I will try to answer. I know a lot about PCs but not everything.

current PC:

Ryzen 5 5600 |16GB DDR4 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti [further details on my profile]

PC configs I used before:

  1. Pentium G4500 | 4GB/8GB DDR4 2133Mhz | H110 | GTX 1050
  2. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz / OC:4Ghz | 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz / 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1050
  3. Ryzen 3 1200 3,5Ghz | 16GB 3200Mhz | B450 | GTX 1080 ti

Yes I care about future-proofing my stuff to save myself time down the line. What would be a great GPU to be able to play 1080p max settings? And what CPU would you recommend if I were to stream 1080p max settings games so the stream itself won't look bad?

The list look extremely good but we can make it the better

first thing we'll remove the copy of windows 11 and add a copy of 10 (Windose 11 is not good, trust me)

and the motherboard the golden rule when buying a motherboard is it should be half of the price of the CPU

soo now lets get to the CPU for 1080p 120fps I3 is not good boi we can go with risen it'll be the best bang for ur buck CPU I would say Risen 5600X and now the motherboard MSI B450M PRO lets use this its around 85 bucks the ram that you have added is perfect

storage is also good and the power supply its also ok but I dont think this video card will hold up for the type of gaming you need its streach the budget a bit and add a RTX 3060 12 GB Card shall we after that the total will be around 1000 Bucks to save few more bucks we can add a bit more cheaper Powersupply lets say EVGA 600watt bronze soo now the price will be around the price of ur first build

what do you think about this

The R5 5600 is cheaper if going with Ryzen. Makes no sense to spend an extra $60ish on the 'X'.

Motherboard is meh.

The RTX 3060 isn't worth an extra $100 over a 6600XT. They perform pretty similar on average.

That psu is not worth $70 considering the Thermaltake in my list is only $10 more for a fully modular gold unit, and much better quality.

both of the GPU's are basically the same but the 3060 that I have added here has twelve gigs of memory soo cause of this in most scenarios the 3060 would be better and I agree about your PSU option and yeah ofc u can't overlock it it on this motherboard the normal version is ok and both of the CPU's we have used are almost the same

and almost forgot using intel CPU's and AMD gpu's is not the best idea

So why would you pay an extra $100 for the same performance ?

The Vram is pretty irrelevant. The gpu would run out of juice before using 12GB of Vram.

What ? That is just total nonsense.

I just told its not the best idea if we can use ur GPU and the amd cpu I recommended it might be better (That might not make sense at all but it does boi using a matching pair of CPU and GPU is kinda on a another level paying that 50 more bucks for it is toatally worth it just for the serotonin

Sorry but no idea what you are talking about. There is no issue using an Intel cpu and AMD gpu. Where are you getting this info from ?

The Team MP34 is a good SSD. You should do some research before posting false info. Also Samsung SSD's are usually overpriced compared to other brands.
