Help needed !!!

Hi everyone!! Thank you for taking  time to read my post about my problem ...

 

So i have older laptop ... hp pavilion model cb15-061na 

Specification:

I7 7700hq

16gb ram 2400mhz

1tb hdd 

Gtx 1050 

 

As i say is a bit older laptop but still works fine and i have no problem with so far ... i wanted to update it a bit and add him a ssd to speed it up a bit. So i add a m.2 ssd 240gb all works fine ssd gets recognized all is good, i clone my hdd to the ssd enterd BIOS to change the boot to the ssd and there is the problem starting i find boot manage, in the option: boot from laptop hdd i click it and is showing me to choose  the ssd or hdd  but when i choose ssd  and press enter nothing happens keep staying the choice to choose when i press on the old one it get choosen does anyone know what it could be ? Sorry for my grammar

That's the choise i meant above as i try now i see i can't also choose the old one as i was saying in post above i need to press ESC to go back is there a way to change the positions of the drives or it left me only the option to install manually win on the new ssd but than i am worried that still i will have same problem or worse i will stuck in  some sort of dead loop

Seems like the boot record is not as it should be. Fresh Windows install with just the ssd connected should fix that, though you'll have to reinstall your programs and such.

After cloning the drive i disconnected the old hdd in laptop the boot option changed to the new ssd after that i connected the old hdd wipe it out and all is working how it should thanks for everyone who tried to find solution for me thanks !!!
