Well I have always been using headphones because I shifted from laptop to pc about a year ago and I really listen to music alot so have been thinking to add speakers to my setup although I have 0 zero idea on for what to go for but the focus is on audio quality
Also I have not mentioned the budget cause I can save and get a good one but 100$ to max of 200$ I could do.
Would appreciate any suggestion
Thank you guys!

The thing about speakers is they don’t really go bad unless they get over driven or the cones get messed up.  Used is a decent way to go with speakers if you know what a messed up one sounds like.  A lot of audio theory is codswallop.  If your speaker cables aren’t really really long low oxygen copper cables will do exactly zero for you for example.  The nice thing about used is frequently that garbage gets burned away. At least to some extent. There are a lot of “legendary” things that actually aren’t that great by modern standards. There’s also an argument for just going to Costco, picking up a sound bar, plugging som spdif into it and go. Is it awesome? No.  But it works.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

I was in the same boat a few months ago and got myself some Mackie CR-5X's. Go for an average of like $150-$200. Plug in and play in a way. No need to worry about amps and plugs and whatnot. The 5" models are pretty big in terms of desk space, so maybe the 4" or 3" models might be more suited, of course since they're smaller they're cheaper as well.

You can check out my thread and a picture of what the setup could look like in the end:

Yes, I have an audio jack going into a splitter which then goes from motherboard to the speakers that are powered by themselves. Can't remember what cable came with them, either a jack to jack or a small jack to two big plugs.

There is also a Bluetooth version for $50 extra but since I don't need BT as I can just connect to PC I didn't buy those.

As for headphones, the aforementioned splitter makes audio go to headphones as well, far more convenient that plugging unplugging the headphone cable at the front constantly.
