Good day!

I have an online UPS (Alpha Pro RT series; model: APO 2000RT) 2000VA/1800W from WisePowerUSA. After about 4 years of use, its time to replace the batteries. The manual states that it uses either 4x9Ah or 6x7Ah batteries. I bought by mistake 6x9Ah batteries. Is it safe to use 6x9Ah batteries instead of only 4? The stock batteries are 6x7Ah and I opt to replace them with 6x9Ah batteries as I have already bought 6. Thank you for taking your time in responding to my query.

i've never seen a single UPS model support two different battery voltages..

i suppose if it supports the voltage it should work, but it's gonna be more a case of "the bigger batteries wont fit".

It has the same voltage 12V. I guess you misread the specifications of the UPS.

they're 12V batteries, but they're wired in series (as they usually are with UPSes) so the result is 48V or 72V.

it's listed in your own screenshot.

The way I understood your statement is the UPS supporting two different battery voltages. The specification I meant was the UPS supports only 12V batteries. My concern is since it has 6 battery slots supporting a 9Ah and a 7Ah (stock), will it be a good idea to put 6x9Ah batteries instead of just 4? Since I bought 6 of 9Ah batteries, will it be safe to put 6? The stock batteries that came with the UPS is 6x7Ah batteries.

if they'll fit you can put them in.

if they dont fit.. it'll still work, as long as you dont go WAY overboard and overwhelm the charger (with something like a 55Ah battery) the battery capacity doesnt matter much.
