If you don't mind temps in the high 80's to 90's sure, even with an aio with a room controlled to 15C constantly I was hitting mid to high 70's without undervolting. The chips are wayyy to aggressive with voltage. Alot of them can hit 5.1 P core and 4.0 E core at sub 1.35v

You don't have to undervolt. However I found with my 12900k and NH-D15, I was able to undervolt, not touch my clocks or impact my stability. I dropped over 20C.

What do you think about BeQuiet's Dark Rock Pro 4 with the 12900K?

Honestly there is alot of factors with aio's I just found the 12900k in my instance is to out of control with temps when under an all core load for rendering or encoding

I thought water cooling is the ultimate solution for people that feels air cooling may be not be reliable enough

Honestly, Water vs Air now adays is super backwards, Air coolers have gotten so good that they can be on par or better than alot of current market AIO's. A full custom loop though is usually best due to a lot of different factors including block design.

The NH-D15 is supposed to be the slightly better performing cooler. You can still get the NH-D15 in black, if that's the concern. Other than being slightly more money, the Noctua has more positives than negatives IMHO.

As for the AIO, you can go that route if you want, however you will need a large AIO to keep up with the 12900k. I still prefer the reliability / lifespan of an air cooler personally.

The BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 4 has TDP of 250 while when 12900K has maximum turbo power of 241. There is not a gap big enough, to be on the safe side ?

DRP4 is 2-3C worse than the d15, but that isn't to say the d15 is enough unless u undervolt

Buy the Dark Rock Pro 4 if you want. Nothing wrong with it. I personally bough the NH-D15. Minor differences all add up. I'll take couple degrees I can get.

It's a hot chip. For many things, it will be fine. In some situations it will be really hot, without you doing something. My temps while gaming, fine. Run cinebench, instant 100C. After undervolting, no problems (my drop of over 20C I referenced). My board was just supplying more voltage than was necessary. My chip is perfectly stable how it is.

What programs do you recommend so I can monitor the CPU temperature ? Free if possible
