As you can see in the attached images, Task manager tells me that 83% of my memory is being used, However, the main applications that are totaled wouldn't even come close to that amount.

In the second image, You can see that I have 16gb of ram and it's telling my that 13.4 gb are being used, but I don't understand where this memory is going. It's seriously annoying because I'm trying to edit a video and it's extremely slow because there is barely any memory left.

Can someone please help me figure this problem out.

Here are my specs:

i7 - 6700k CPU
GTX 1080TI
Z170 GAMING M5 (MS-7977) Motherboard
16GB Ram Corsair
2 Hard Drives, (1; 1TB, 2; 4TB)
1 SSD (128gb)

If I recall correctly from a previous post, as long as your memory isn’t hitting 100% usage, you are fine. Basically, some of the stuff you have opened is still open on the ram incase you need it, but if you end up needing more ram the computer will dump it (which is why you are fine as long as you aren’t hitting 100% usage).

I don’t think ram is your issue here, however, I would probably close one or 20 of your 49 open browser tabs though.

Sort by memory usage, click on the memory column. The scroll bar in your first image indicates there's a lot more processes running and some further down the list also might use a lot of memory.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

Oh okay, so does this not have anything to do with memory leak?

the other processes take very few memory so it's very insignificant
