Recording program which doesn't use much space?

Go to solution Solved by BakkesJongeh,

Shadowplay would be good it you have an Nvidia GPU, dxtory if you don't.

If you still want to use Fraps you could just use a program called "Handbrake" to encode all your video files at the end of the day and delete the origional files.

Do you guys know of a Recording program which doesn't use much space? I only have a TB and wanna recorded for a 5-7 hours everyday then delete most of the files by the end of the day.

Should I use fraps? (Will record 1080p 30 fps high quality.)

there is a reason why they use the space. The reason behind it is that it's uncompressed. Having to compress it on-the-fly is a harsh task for the processor. Depending on what you want to do it will slow down your computer A LOT.

If i remember right there was a streaming PCIe card that compresses it for around 100 dollars. AverMedia Live Gamer card (or so)

It is used to stream to networks like Twitch.tv but can be used to just capture your stuff and save it to a hard drive. Expect a loss in quality though.

My builds:

'Baldur' - Data Server - Build Log

'Hlin' - UTM Gateway Server - Build Log
