What will you do with your laptop?
School work, so programming, running virtual machines, maybe later possibly 3D games, and in my free time I will also want to do a little gaming.


What is your budget?
Around 1500 - 2100 euros


Do you plan to take your laptop with you a lot?
Yes I will take it with me daily.


Do you have any preferences

Oh yeah for sure better. Ive been helping multiple people out in belgium getting good laptops as rn you have strong but no battery life or weak and overpriced but decent battery and an hp.

 

Inwill get back later to this but in case I forget tag me.

 

The older asus g15 2021 is on sale at megekko as of last week still. Nicr middlrground

The machine you listed is generally well reviewed and has good specs

 

I'm in the U.S so I don't know any belgian stores or how pricing scales. So if someone else is willing to find a G14 or G15 in germany, that would be great!

 

I am also an advocate of thinkpads like the P series. You can find great used deals on those, amazing servicability and durability. Just a bit big.

Any reason it has to be a be store? Megekko ships to belgium no problem and is an excellent store.

 

As for thr hp good specs but it doesnt cool well and has only a couple hours of battery life + screen is kinda mid. Dissapointing pc for 2k.

Oh yeah for sure megekko and any other online shops are fine :P. I meant a shop that delivers to belgium 🙂

It really is not. You really want at least 3 hours of battery life and this one does not offer that. Thats + it cannot cool its internals so you lose q lot of performance.

I've seen on youtube that the HP omens battery is pretty good, and also told me that its cooling capabilites are fine.
The lenovo legion models are a bit bulky for me and look a bit too much like gaming machines, that's why I would rather go for HP omen, it looks more like a regular work pc.

Do you have any alternatives?

The asus g15 is available.

 

Are you looking at your model? The lower spec ones are fine your spec isnt

Could you link asus g15 pls, thanks

No on bol.com it says 6.25 hr of battery life. Also the design is same as older so cooling must be same

What design? The legion 5? Yeah its the same old design.

 

The battery life on bol.com might as well be random numbers you need actual reviews.
