CPU voltage offset

Guest

I have a Zephyrus M16 and I'm trying to see if there's an effective way to get the fans not to make the laptop into a helicopter instead of an actual laptop. And I'm looking at CPU Voltage offset configuration. So if someone can explain to me what negative and positive CPU voltage offset does.

Negative offset means you shifts the voltage curve down with the amount you set. Usually the offset is im mV(millivolt), meaning if you set it to negative 100mV you shifted the voltage curve down by 0.1V.

Negative offset is what you want for reduced temps, you may run into stability issues if you take it too low. Milage may vary here.

Positive offset is if you want to increase the clock speed(overclocking)
