Hi All,

 

I may have made a mistake in buying this as I'm lacking information about raid modes on this. It is a 2 bay enclosure that can be ran as Raid 0, Raid 1, PM and Span, and I was just curious what the PM mode is and what span is? any help is appreciated! Thanks! 

 

If possible I would like to run it as 2 individually addressable drives within TrueNas but doubt it will work.

SPAN = JBOD = Just a bunch of disks, this has 0 reliability, don't do it.

 

PM = ???  no clue.

I was thinking of using drives I really dont care if they die or not and just having the extra storage of isos and other stuff that is meaningless but handy to have.. thanks for the confirmation on what SPAN is.

After building up the courage and plugging in a laptops ssd, it looks like the PM does some direct pass through mode as I wanted atleast with one drive
