Did you connect the cable to the mainboard's HDMI port or to the Graphics Card's HDMI port? If it works only when connected to the mainboard, install the latest driver for your graphics card.

Seeing as your Mainboard has no DVI port so it had to be connected to the GTX780ti's port, the driver might be the issue.

 

The MSI GTX780 TI has 2 different kinds of DVI ports: Dual Link DVI-I and Dual Link DVI-D

Make sure you have the right cable and make sure you use the right port to match your monitors input

 

In case none of the above work, have you tried hooking it up to another monitor?

If this works, your original monitor's DVI Port might be the issue.
