Is It Dangerous??

Hey guys, so i heard awhile back that computer parts can contain lead and mercury and other things that you shouldnt come into contact on a regular basis. I'm asking this because i wanted to punch a hole in an old pentium cpu(from my first computer) and put it on with my car keys. Is that a bad idea or is it fine to do? thanks

It should be fine for a CPU. Older PCBs contained lead based solder, some still do. As for the Mercury, in its element form it isn't that dangerous to humans if ingested, but it is rather the vapors given off that is dangerous.

What about an old dimm of RAM, is that dangerous too?
