Security cam with no subscription?

I want to set up 1 or 2 reasonably inexpensive security cameras in a small office. Ideally, I don't want a monthly cloud subscription.  One would be inside and one maybe outside, but under a roof overhang (so not directly rained on). The office has wifi and internet and I could set up a dedicated mini PC, if that's what's needed for me to access the video remotely. Otherwise, SD card is fine.

 

Any ideas or advice?  Any good or bad experiences on a similar project?

What are you using for recording on the server?  Are you able to access live feed from mobile?
