is there any way to switch boot drives with out losing any of the windows data(settings applcations all that.)

dude let me know if you find out i just switched boot drive from hdd to sdd and my sdd has fuck all

By disk cloning. There is no other way of moving only the os to another drive.

and then you select the disk to boot of in bios and delete the old os partitions in cp

Yes set new drive as first boot device and then to remove everything off the old drive use disk management to format the drive.
