Hello. i have a pc since april of last year. its been performing great but since my last upgrade (more ram) the cpu is always at 100%.
i currently have an i5 10400 and a msi mag b460 tomahawk.
i dont know if the 100% utilization is caused by the ram ( i currently have 32gb) or by something else. should i upgrade cpu? i was thinking to buy maybe a used 2700x which i can buy pretty cheap, or should i remain on intel side?
suggest cpus please! thank you

you could get an i7 from that generation or 11th gen with a bios update and you wouldn’t have to buy a new motherboard.

Check your processes in Task Manager and make sure there isn’t a virus of some sort that’s utilizing your CPU hard

THIS THIS THIS.  @NF-A12x25look at this user's posting history, there is no way they are CPU bound with the RX 570 they are using, it's gotta be an issue with windows or malware.

@puppoHave you checked for malware or reinstalled windows?  The 10400f is not really an issue for gaming, and adding RAM in no way would cause any CPU to experience a higher load.  What do you use this PC for?

I edit the shit out of my posts.  Refresh before you respond.
