New to the forums and just got a few question as far as overclocking goes. New to overclocking so wanna see if am on the right track ;)

Currently running a intel 3770k and just started looking into overclocking the cpu now that I finished putting new water loop in. Yesterday I overclocking it to 4.5ghz with 1.1700 Volts. From what am seeing from other people with the 3770k it is taking them what seems to be somewhat more higher not seen anyone as low as me in volts for 4.5ghz.

My question is do I maybe just have a good one that is really good for overclocking or am I just not understanding it (maybe doing something wrong).

Don't seem to hard to overclock long as the volts it not to high and it's stable with no crashes. I have run prime95 for 1 hour no crash but plan to do it tonight for around 6 hours or more to make sure it is completely stable no crashes when I was gaming last night either with the overclock.

Just wanna see what everyone says got to learn somehow did some research and started to play around like anyone else that is a computer junkie would do HAHA ;)

i would try and see what it will do on 1.3v if you're under water, as that is a very sensible voltage and you should get a nice high oc by the sounds of it.

run prim95 for 24 hours.

i overclocked my cpu to 5ghz and i ran prime95 for 6 hours and taught it was stable. 5 days later i crashed and had to reset the bios

i never stress test any of my overclocks any more. ive been on 5ghz for ages now and i havent had any crashes.

i'll do a dirty 15min to wage the temps and quasi-stability, this prolong "wait" on

mega-hour stressing and passing then crashes in appz is time wasted.

i used to do about 30mins, but i dont bother much now. if it crashes i just add more voltage for a noob it's best to do 15-30 mins though, just to make sure.

You guys got me intrested in seeing what this chip will take to get to 5ghz now ;)

Don't think I will do it anytime soon going to leave it clocked to 4.5ghz I was aiming for 4.7ghz just didn't get around to pushing more got busy with some things. Also having issues with windows so need to fix that before proceeding if I do.

Need to finish modding the case as well to fit the loop in the case. Currently have the pump and res outside the case. Way I wanna put in the case requires modding just do not have the time to build a divider in the case.
