I need help chosing a new keyboard.

(Questions and criteria after this first paragraph)

After building the first pc I really didn't have much left so I got a Logitech K120, A known brand name, but still cheap.
It's a membrane keyboard and It's been serving me just fine until yesterday when, I spilled my drink on it, the first time actually, but fatal enough to render the spacebar useless.
Spacebar is kind of important not only for gaming and writing, but it serves a key role (pun intended) in every software I use.

So I finally have an excuse to buy a new keyboard, but I'm completely new to this world

1. Here are the things I NEED to have on my new keyboard:

No clicks
The quieter the better, I always wear headphones and often record audio, I don't need noisy buttons.

Customizable RGB.
While I agree that, while being an esthetically pleasing addition it's a completely useless feature and an utter waste of money and electricity in any other place, The keyboard is the one piece where the lighting makes sense to me, not only for ease of use in the dark but as an easily customizable way of labeling keys for quicker identification of shortcuts while working within software.

Full size.
I need the Numpad.

Black.
I like black.

USB-C (If the cable is detachable)
I hope just isn't required.

2. Here I'd put the features I want, but I'm willing to give up if the trade-off makes it worth it:

Volume control of some sort.
I want this one, I'm currently using the side-rocking of my mouse wheel and it's been working fine but just that, only fine.

Detachable Cable.

Hot-swappable switches

3.

And here are a couple of extras, things I don't strictly need or I can add later but would be nice to have, Wouldn't trade any of the above for the following:

Extra keys.
Empty or otherwise freely customizable and bindable.

I also don't hold anything against any brand nor I am loyal to them.

Thank you in advance for any recommendation.

To be honest, you're best going to a local store and trying out keyboards to find one you like.  It's some thing you're going to be using a lot. I know from person experience that reading reviews isn't always the best idea when it comes to keyboards.

Do you have a budget? The Keychron Q5 and Q6 should meet your requirements, if you add your own silenced switches, it's available for you, and fits within your budget. For switches, do you want linear or tactile switches? For keycaps, look at the available in stock options (not group buy/GB) for your region in the list below

You are assuming I live in a place where I could do that...

  • 2 weeks later...

Well the Ducky One 3 says it is now fully hot-swappable.  So that's what I'd go for.  I have been very pleased with my One 2.

Only "maybe" drawback is that there's no 100% size with pudding keycaps.  Not a deal-breaker necessarily.  And you can always get pudding caps later if you wanted.
