Impossible to Connect this Case Fan?

JudithWright
I have the Cooler Master MasterBox MB320L.
The case has 2 ARGB fans in the front panel, and these extra wire connectors:

I am trying to install another fan to the back of the case.
I have a 120mm CUK ARGB PWM Fan that has these connectors:

Will it be possible to connect this fan to this case?

There is only one fan header on the motherboard, so I think connecting the fan to the extra wires from the case fans would be the only option?
To me, it seems impossible because there is only a three pin connector coming from the case (white connector) and the female connector in the fan has four slots.

Am I doing this wrong?

You should be able to plug a 4 pin fan into a 3 pin header or a 3 pin fan into a 4 pin header.

As far as I’m aware, the only difference between a 3 pin and 4 pin fan is how the fan speed can be selected. 4 pin typically allows variable fan speed whereas 3 pin fans spin at full speed (unless the motherboard supports changing the fan speed by changing voltages).

Did you see the pictures?

The four-slot female connector wouldn't be able to fit into the 3-pin white fan cable connector from the case.

When using a closed header like that 3 pin, it needs to be opened up. I did it a few times. I have a multi tool or razor blade to cut the side open of the plastic.

The rgb depends on the type the female side is. Either isnt gonna be compatible voltage wise or just need an adapter for it which isnt uncommon.

Could something like this be used?

To connect the black 4 slot female wire on the fan to the white male 3-pin wire coming from the case fans?
