Hi i am experiencing something new and have not updated any hardware or drivers. everything is up to date. but the past week my computer has been randomly restarting. Randomly my computer black screens and restarts but the lights and everything on the computer stays on it Doesn’t   shut down it just goes black and then goes straight to the log in screen. Has anyone experience this or k ow how to fix it. As of today I’ve Literly just been watching Netflix.

Oh yea forgot this is what I have and it’s a year and 5 months old all new parts

R5 5600x

Gskill tridentz 2x8gb

asus 3060ti ko

Hello! The first thing to do would be to check that all the power cables are properly plugged in and reset the BIOS by removing the CMOS battery for several minutes and reinserting it afterwards. Then, attempt to boot the computer with only one stick of RAM in the memory slot nearest the CPU. If the symptoms persist, make sure that the memory kit you are using has been cleared to work with the motherboard in the Memory QVL list (Vermeer). If possible, try to source a different set of memory and attempt to boot the computer with it. I do not think it is a PSU failure as a PSU failure would typically shut don the system entirely, not just crash the desktop environment. It is also worth trying to update drivers and, if all else fails, reinstalling the OS to rule out any software shenanigans.
