Hey, I'm seeking for some help for finding a new smartphone due to there being way to many options, and I was hoping I could get some guidance with it, and get a couple suggestions for phones I could look into for making a decision.

Wishes I have for the phone:

A large screen 6,4"+

A big battery 4500/5000mah,

Fast Charging (50w+),

A high end android device,

Future proof, (5g, software updates)

I have been searching around and saw the samsung s22+, and the oneplus 10pro,

But the problems I think I'll have with the samsung is that the battery doesnt charge quite fast, and the battery doesnt seem to last to long. I do believe the software is good and reliable?

For the OnePlus 10 pro, I heard it doesnt have 5g+? the software has lots of bugs? and it only pushes out software updates for about 3 years?

I am from the netherlands, there for not all devices might be available.

I do apologize if this is another need help post!

Yeah, the charging is indeed a limitation on those. Also, one of them is an older 865 phone while other carries the hotter 888. The former might run out of updates faster than the Oneplus even though it's a Samsung device. I mean, an older product is more likely to be ditched out of new Android versions, etc faster. You'll likely still get security and Samsung OS update bits though.

My Realme X2 Pro is from 2019 and it's still getting updates, so that part about the Oneplus is not true. Somebody made that up.

5g, I'd check whether your carrier even allows or not. Or even if it does, whether you actually get better speeds with it. 5g allows more bands, but speed-wise, sometimes when you live down rural areas - you actually get worse than 4.5g speeds.

why do you need 50W fast charging? My iPhone does 20W and I’ve never thought “I want this faster”. Battery lasts 1.5-2.5 days without charging so just charging over night does me.

It's useful when it's not night charging, my Realme has it and it does show to be useful at times. Such as when I'm using the charger to charge my wireless mouse over night, then I charge the phone during the day time with it. It really takes a very short period for a full charge. Think 10 mins or so.

Which melts your battery. Just get a plug with two USB ports dude. Why isn’t your mouse plugged into your PC to charge anyway?

...except it does not. It's the regular norm of this phone, I've been doing nothing but fast charging it and battery still lasts many days. The 50W charger charges the mouse faster as well, which is why I use it multi purpose.

I think you need to be flexible/realistic on charging speed.

It is all USB-C and you can just buy plenty of chargers/cables. I have wireless cradles on all the desks I use, Have a 12V USB in my car and then obviously the 120V wall plug for over night etc. You can use all those for may generations of phones, so it is a good investment and you don't need to share "that single charger" over all your devices. Most other electronics nowadays uses USB-C.

I also prefer slower chargers since heat kills batteries.

If 50W charging is a deal-breaker for you, you may only have 1-2 odd and expensive phones to choose from, if any. I also would not trust that a phone advertised as 50W actually charges at 50W. They can write a lot in a spec sheet when the day is long.... for high speed charging you need the rated power supply, rated cable and phone. If one of the 3 isn't built for high speed, it will be slower.
