I've had this problem for a while, and I've been all over the internet obsessively looking for a solution. I can't get anyone to even give me the time of day when it comes to this problem. It's a strange problem no one seems to have. When gaming, I'll scope and fire my weapon and it'll stick and continue scoping and firing. I've uploaded a video with a mousecam so you can see it. I took my hand off the mouse to demonstrate the issue. I hope someone knows the secret to fix this and I appreciate any help. If you need any computer specs, they're in my profile.

Have you verified it is consistent with a different mouse / controller? If the affected controllers / peripherals are USB, you may also try a different USB port. Sometimes it really does matter which port they are connected to. I generally always connect my keyboard / mouse combo to the USB nearest the PS/2 style keyboard port.

@Selestialnorre100% agreement, try with a different mouse and USB 2.0 port

I also use a 30 dollar logitech mouse and keyboard combo on the same 2 computer this happens on and they don't do this. I've tried different USB ports. I probably should have said this happens on 2 different W11 computers with the same mouse, but only in games. My friend who has the same mouse doesn't have that issue, but a double click issue because his mouse went flying across the floor one night. I'm genuinely confused as to what's causing this and it only seems to be my mouse no matter what USB on these 2 computers I use. (Only while gaming of course)

Theory. If you've ever had your words or the other party's words echoed back at you, sometimes with a robotic effect, while using Bluetooth with your cell phone, I wonder if that sort of thing can happen with some BT dongles for mice and keyboards that would appear to be a repeat to the computer... Possibly a faulty dongle or a Bluetooth glitch?

Well, I don't typically use Bluetooth stuff because I quite prefer solid wired stuff. If I'm gaming, I'll always use the first wired thing I can get my hands on, but on occasions if there's nothing wired, I'll use wireless. The mouse in the video is a wired one and is plugged into the USB ports that I'll include photos of just to add as much info as I can to this. Your theory is quite sound though. I believe in a situation, that can happen, but I don't think that's what's happening here. It could be that my mouse is sticking, or that something in the W11 OS is making something funky and holding inputs, but neither of these ideas make sense to me since it happens at random with this mouse in any USB port and only in game.

Honestly, from the looks of those USB ports, they appear to be in need of cleaning, or possibly have wear / damage that could be contributing to the problem.

Well, I don't know about the one on the laptop, but the desktop I keep cleaning and the dust just keeps coming. They get cleaned like once every few weeks and then they look like new. I just took a bad photo it seems. The one on the laptop though, a friend bought it for work, stuck it in a drawer, and never used it again. It's like new, but it gets a little dusty and I clean it out once a week usually. I'll say this though. When I built the desktop, I plugged in the mouse through a USB extender cable (trust me not contributing in the least because other computer has the same issue) and I haven't unplugged it since until this morning. Could it be that my mouse is sending a signal to the computer that tells it "hold this button down"? I just now had it happen in game, but I wasn't firing. I was scoping and it stayed that way until another press.
