new gpu installed no screen

Sorry if repost or something.

 

I just isntalled a new 270x msi hawk in a system :

MOBO asus p8h61-m pro

cpu: i5-3330

Psu: vs550 (corsair)

Ram: 6gb (2 &4)  asint ddr3 1600

hdd: 2tb seagate barracuda

 

 the system had a gt 620. i did not deinstall the nvidea drivers first, i just swapped the cards, booted and got a no signal. (i dont know if it posted because the mobo has no speaker)

so i tried a different card a 7850 stil no signal. so i booted with the onboard graphics and deinstalled the nvidea drivers and installed the amd drivers , i put the 270x back in the system but stil got no signal.

i tested both the 270x the 7850 in a different pc they both worked fine. also i tried it with a different hdd but still the same : no signal.

 

EDIT: i tried 2 nvidia cards --> they both gave signal

          2 AMD cards --> no signal

You should be able to get a signal even without the correct drivers installed. Are you sure it's in the first PCI slot and pushed all the way in?

Double check if your CPU power cable is plugged in.

Is your CPU power cable connected properly?

Is it a single slot motherboard? Is the the gpu compatible to work with the MOBO/OS? Try changing PCI slot.

the mobo only has one pcie16 slot

im not sure but could it be a driver problem?
