Radeon integrated graphics and a RTX3060 when I trier the steam vr tester it put my default graphics card for the integrated graphics and im curious how do I change it to the 3060 without disabling my integrated graphics from the device manager because my laptop acts really weird when I disable it also my laptop is a asus zephyrus g14

What does this mean? You're not being specific enough.

Did you connect the Quest 2 to your laptop using a USB-C to USB-C cable, or did you do something weird like an HDMI (laptop) to USB-C (Quest 2).

From quickly checking some Reddit threads, it appears if you want to directly use the discrete GPU (RTX 3060) on your laptop, you need to use the USB-C port. This is because it will run in Alt Mode DisplayPort which is directly connected to the dGPU.

Keep in mind that you need to use a decent USB-C to USB-C cable for VR purposes.

This post "Which Oculus Quest 2 USB-C cable do you need?" links to one of their own cables.

Cable Matters Active USB C Cable 16.4 ft for Oculus Quest 2 Headset

Judging from this old post from 6 years ago, it might be a bug that still exists today?

The way laptops use iGPU and dGPU is a little weird.

The way you seen visual information on the laptop screen is displayed by the iGPU for battery saving purposes. When you do something intensive like play video games, it will switch over to the dGPU because obviously.

When you run the SteamVR, it switches over to the dGPU otherwise it won't pass the test well. But it might still report to you that it used the iGPU because that's how the software is being displayed on your laptop screen.

Otherwise, this Reddit thread also has some tips.

I've never used Airlink so all of my suggestions are mostly blind and assumptions.

Is your laptop connected to your home network via ethernet cable?

Does your Quest 2 have a strong connection to the wireless router?

Are a lot of devices in your household connected to the wireless router (via Wi-Fi) and causing connectivity congestion?

I've always used cables for my Quest 2. However I saw the Airlink stuff a few days ago and thought it was new. I dmed it to a friend that uses virtual desktop and just got this back.

Do you still have problems if your headset is plugged directly into your laptop?

He has lag issues on both VD and Airlink when he uses WiFi. Him switching to ethernet also made a large difference, but didn't get rid of the weird airlink specific problems.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

I saw that. I was just referencing that he had issues with it over ethernet, you're going to have issues over WiFi unless you've got a bad ass router and no one else on it.

Unless you meant this part.

I meant with USB C. If the headset is plugged in for testing it bypasses the need for WiFi if you use oculus link. That would also fix what is pointed out above.

Also this last one:

Is because most laptops will route the dGPU through the iGPU.
