Any tech guys out there who can help?

It looks like you're already showing hidden folders. Am I right? Did you try plugging it into another machine as well? Just so we can get the files off. Also, are you sure you didn't put it in the "Don't touch" folder?

Yeah i am showing hidden folders and i have checked pretty much every folder for the folder i am looking for, still no results, although it still shows the data being used which i don't understand.

Did you scan the hard drive as Proff suggested? If so, did it find any errors?

It said it found a few errors and they have been fixed and any found files would be moved to a folder called "found" on the drive, although it free'd up about 1gig there is still no "found" folder on there..something isn't right.

This is weird. I'm stumped - I have no idea why your folder isn't appearing. Did you try hooking it up to another computer?(if you have another one, that is) Also, do you have a smartphone you could try to use to access the data on the drive over your network?

I have no idea what else to do. It's happened to me before, but I don't know how I fixed it.
