Tuner card issues

I have an Aver media A306, it shows up in the device manager just fine and is identified correctly, but no program including Windows media Center can detect it. I am very pressed for time and need this to be working ASAP. And just spent the extra $10 for windows media upgrades.

I tried contacting Aver media but they couldn't even give me a driver. I had to contact the company that sold it to me on eBay for a driver and they didn't even give me the right one the first time. I've tried contacting them for an application that will work but they didn't understand what I meant by application.

So anybody know of a good application or fix for this? Would like to use Windows media center if possible.

It seems pretty obscure to be honest, the only company that uses that particular piece of hardware is Dell inn an all in one system.

 

In terms of Windows Media Center, I haven't had much luck with it myself. I have bought tuner cards which say they are "Windows 7 compatible", but not Media Center compatible.

I think my driver is just fine because it shows up correctly in the device manager, but no program can identify. (I'm actually using your second link.)

Also it's funny you should say that they use them in all-in-one systems because I'm using it on an Intel BN2800MT. (Which is an All in one board.)
