Hello i am quite new to graphics cards so i'm wondering whats the uses of the different ports on a Graphics card at the end of the bracket for example  HDMI,DVI and DP ports? Thanks

Different connections type..

DP is the fastest (for gaming)

HDMI is "fast", for gaming or TV, nowadays widely used for medias

DVI is for older devices

And just to REALLY clarify the point.

A full computer setup typically consists of a desktop computer (tower) or a laptop.

A keyboard is connected to the tower via USB or PS/2

A mouse is connected to the tower via USB or PS/2

A display (typically a monitor or a television) is connected to the tower via either HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, DVI etc.

If your tower has a graphics card, you will use those ports (those are OUTPUTS). Otherwise you would use the ports on the tower's motherboard.

A display cable will run from the graphics card port (OUPUT) to the display INPUT. This way the tower will send visual information to the display.

A graphics card (and motherboard) typically has multiple output options because monitors have a variety of inputs, so it's best practice for the graphics card to have multiple output options to cover a decent spectrum of options. Also, you can connect to multiple monitors instead of just one.

A DVI to VGA adapter often works best, that'll fix the issue. I have 2 VGA monitors, one on DVI-D to VGA and one on HDMI to VGA

That will enable connection between the monitor and GPU, yes.
