Which Intel CPU to get

Budget (including currency): 

Country: $1500-$2000 USD

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: 1440p/4K gaming

Other details: Asus ROG Strix Z590-E, EVGA FTW3 3070, WD Black SN850 (got on sale for $85), G-Skill Trident (2x8 GB) 3200 mHz

 

I’m building my first PC and I’m trying to decide between these CPUs:

-10850K $350 (Newegg/BestBuy)

-11700k $220 (Micro Center)

-11900k $330 (Micro Center) 

 

I’ve read some reports/comments that said 11th gen Intel was worse than 10th gen and I didn’t know if it’s worth paying the extra price for the 10850k.

12700f will run circles around those cpus for ~310$, why even bother with these older gens? If youve already bought the board you can just sell it off, not worth sticking with older gens that get obliterated by both ryzen 5000 and 12th gen
