Dark patch on laptop screen?

Hi I was on my laptop and then randomly my screen got a dark patch running along the left hand side. I didn’t apply pressure or drop it or anything it just randomly turned like this. I know it’s not dead pixels because I can still see, the screens just darker in this area

Looks like backlight failure.

Well its just a dead LED but not a lot of people will attempt fixing it. You are looking at replacing the panel.
