Odd Boot MGR Missing Error

Go to solution Solved by DarthSlater77,

I have finaly fixed it! I have never seen a problem like this before. All of my bios setting were kosher and my bios updated to the latest version and it still wasnt working. I contacted NCIX tech suport with the problem and they two were baffeld with this problem. But the tech suport guy, sory i didnt get your name, sujested that i try an older bios flash. I was a little hesatant to try this because i had to update my bios just to get the computer to POST. But the computer wasnt working anyway so it was worth a shot. I downloaded the bios version prior to the latest bios release and flashed my rom with that. After reseting the computer and waiting on the bios screen to go away i got pritymuch the same screen but witha a slight change. insted of just saying "boot MGR missing press ctr+alt+del" to reset there was a line preceding it. the preceding line said "no boot device found press any key to boot from CD". I tried pressing any key but it didnt work. So i reset the computer and when the bios screen whent away i spamed the spacebar to try to catch the pres any key before the boot mgr error came up and it worked. The system booted from the OS disk and i ran the memory check utility then startup repair. after gong through start up repair the error it gave me is that i dont have a page file on my system drive. well of course i dont its a ssd that is nearly full and that would shorten the lifespan of the drive. i also have 12G of system RAM a page file is usles to me anyway. Im still not shure if this is waht was preventing the system to boot it make no sense for it to but you know windows. any how the system restarted susecfuly and booted to windows. I updated my antivirus and installed one opdate from windows and redisabled the page file. After restarting everything is working fine. So the solution to the problem i think is that WINDOWS IS STUPID.

I recently orrderd and recived an FX-9590 from NCIX.  Getting te processor to work was an adventure. To begin with the computer wouldent even POST and after some research i decided to reinstall my old processor and i used the ASUS

ez flash utility to update the BIOS with the latest patch.  i then reinstalled the new processor and it went to POST sucesfuly.  I then went through the bios and made all the proper changes to boot order and procesesor and memory settings.

Then i rest and saved with all the corect settings.  After the system rebooted i got the error mesage Boot MGR missing. I thought no big deal i will just rebuild the boot sector with the OS disk. insertd disk, disconected unnesasary drives, BIOS

boot overide to garunty the ODD will be selected, and reset. Boot MGR missing, What ?! The ODD and the SSD are detected by the BIOS and both are bootable. I reset and let the BIOS folow the boot order and same story. I then reconected

all the drives and again Boot  MGR missing. All of my drives are hooked up properly and functional, the BIOS is the latest version, and a bootable medeum is most definatly avalible. I dont Know what else to do Plese Help!

Disconnect any USB drives that might be present, re-apply the secureboot keys from the BIOS.

I tryed disconecting all devices but to no avail. not shure what you mean by secure boot keys care to explain?

Ok i looked up Secure boot keys and now know why i didnt reconise the term before. SBK's are a feture of windows 8 and server 2012 R2. i am ruing windows 7, i didnt mention it before because i didnt thing it was relevent. with only the ODD drive hooked up and the OS disk in it i still gives me the same error B MGR miss. i also tryied hooking up my system drive and the ODD but same error.  I have also tried boot overide but still same issue, i have tryied using a PS2 keyboard shuld make no difrence and it didnt. same problem. I am a computer tech and this has got to be the most anoying hard to solve chalenge i have ever faced. unfourtunaltly it is on my personal gaming rig and not someon elses computer.
