if u r just playing valorent it will be fine but in other games the gpu will struggle with 1440p. also i would get a cpu cooler the stock one is not that good.

CPU and GPU combo gets like a solid 70fps~ at 1440P on high/ultra. Card should more than fine. Don't forget he can also use FSR to get even more frames, especially greater returns at higher resolutions.

OP, do get a cooler tho. Solid one's are cheap, $40-50

A WD Blue SN570 1TB would be a cheaper option for the SSD if you don't already own the Samsung one.

No it won't, only at 4k really (128 bit bus becomes a big hang up).  Too much of the brain-trust here is based ENTIRELY on the 10-game benchmark. If people aren't playing those exact games with every setting at ultra, things are a lot easier to run.  Most mid-range 3D games will run fine at ultra (especially ones that are more than a couple years old), and more demanding games will still be around 100fps.  Also, running games at high is usually WAY less demanding than ultra, and the visual discrepancies are almost imperceivable.

The 6600 is a lot faster than a 1070, and no one would have batted an eye at picking that for 1440p a few years ago, despite those same games still being heavily played by millions of gamers.

Why?  Theis is clearly a budgetmaxxed parts list, $50 for something that's of minimal benefit is silly.  If OP were going to go out and spend more money on this, a 6600xt would be the first target in the firing order.

That being said, with some better budget optimization OP could totally do a 6600xt for the same cost:

The spec delta RGB actually flows a lot better than it looks like it does.  I paid $85 for one back in december, as my BF was obsessed with the aesthetic (looks way cooler in person with the RGB fans set up how you want).  The air vent in the bottom is pretty well spaced form the fans and it gets the air it needs.  It also is a great deal as it comes with 4 fans pre-installed.  For $65 I have to recommend it.  Otherwise the P360 OP originally listed is a great choice too.

OP hasn't given us a budget yet, doubt $40 would do harm. Years ago Intel stock coolers were a joke, to the point where ur system could throttle. Doubt much has changed.

Not the case any more.  Especially at 1440p with a 6600 or 6600xt.  The 12400f doesn't get that hot, and alder lake has way higher temp tolerances than older cpus.  And again, when we're talking about gaming, said $40 would be leagues more effective in going form a 6600 to a 6600xt than to put a cooler on a sufficiently cooled CPU.  I'd get one too, don't get me wrong (primarily for noise and aesthetics) but for gaming performance it won't change anything really.  Though, it looks like OP is trying for $1200, soa with better budget optimization, they could do both a 6600xt AND an aftermarket cooler, preferably of the $15-$20 variant, as even those would be plenty for the 12400f.

This would be more than sufficient for a 12400f and would go well with an RGB aesthetic of the P360.
