The next one is USB4 but it’s not out yet, and I rather doubt it will work with any card on any machine because of the way thunderbolt works.  There is some doubt if it will EVER in fact come out.  Intel apparently actually left the consortium over USB4.  My understanding is usb3.2 gen 1 is actually 3.0, usb 3.2 gen2 is 3.1, and usb 3.2x2 is actually the original 3.2.  So USB hasn’t actually gotten any faster, it’s just marketing B.S.  so the fastest thing you can currently get is 3.2 gen2 x2 but it isn’t any faster than the original 3.2 with no “gen”

The link is not working for me.  Because the design is actually old with a bit of rebranding BS, there should be a ton of pcie cards out.  Just becomes a question of finding one with the ports you want (you can convert type a to type c or visa versa with a cheap adaptor)

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

3.2 gen2 almost always means 5gb throughput.  Is this Amazon Orr “fulfilled by Amazon” which frequently means some Chinese company.
