Hi guys I need some advice

I have a rog strix b550 f gaming motherboard and am wanting to upgrade my cpu from a ryzen 1800x to a ryzen 5800x. Aswell as upgrading my ram from 16gb of 3200mhz vengeance pro to 32gb or 3600mhz vengeance pro ram .

My question is that reading up on my motherboard it says it supports up to 3200mhz ram .  But I have read in multiple forums that updating the bios will allow me to use the 3600mhz ram .

Since I know this community is extremely knowledgeable I thought I would come here for a clear answer as I don't want to buy the 3600mhz ram if it won't work.

Many thanks

The product page on asus’ website says it has “asus optimem II”, which is a memory overclocking tool, so it will guaranteed do 3600mhz, or higher.

And this motherboard is one of the better B550 boards around so it is pretty capable of overclocking your cpu, if you want.

So I should be fine to use the 3600mhz ram ?
