So recently iFixit delved into the Ouya. It comes complete with an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage and it looks like a normal phone, except it has a beefy heatsink. For $100 I don't think it is too bad a value, however I don't think the platform is ready for a dedicated Android gaming device.

I perfectly agree with you, although Tegra 3 is underpowered, I would have preferred an S4/S4 PRO even if cost is bumped up slightly. and 1GB is a bit low if you try to multi-task... if only systems like this could be modular xD.

 

I think it should hold up nicely to some overclocking though, since battery life isn't a concern and neither should be cooling, maybe we'll see some cool but overkill water cooling systems like we did with Raspberry Pi :D.

its not designed for horse power. its a cheap open source games consoles, its more for the indie developers at home and for people who like indie games. if you want something more graphical get a mainstream console or go for a desktop :3 

i know im getting one so i can make games for it and give out for free, infact im planning on making them OUYA exclusive so yh

honest to god, my partner is getting one just for emulators and i am getting one cause i want to make a 2d game and i dont like IOS game development so im planning on getting in on the OUYA store cause its easy for me to develop for
