Wireless TV question

Hey Guys,

I would like to know if it's possible to connect my wireless tv (connected to my wifi) to my desktop (connected with lan to the rooter (which is also the wifi rooter)).
I would like to screen share what I have on my computer to my tv, but wirelessly.

It seems to be possible if the tv and the computer are on the same wifi network, but my desktop has no wifi and is only connectable though lan.

I am a but stuck here, but I'd be happy to know if it is even possible to do in the first place.

With any of these solutions, don't expect identical performance to running a wire. That's what you should do, hands down. 

 

• Microsoft Wireless Adapter. USB on the PC side and is going to be a software driven display, meaning likely no real 3D related work. 
• These various HDMI reciever/transmitter pairs. YMMV with these, you might want to start researching which of your options works best. What I know of these, id never both. 

To be quite honest if I want to play something on my TV, I simple stream it with a Chromecast. All the wireless display option are just trash, in most cases.

It's mostly to watch movies I have stored on my pc, or youtube so no real 3d.
The Microsoft wireless adapter looks nice, but it goes on the tv right?
